Hampton Inn Garden City Long Island

I had a great stay with family here during the long weekend. Location was great, enough parking, front desk staff are very friendly. Rooms were clean, although one of the beds was not but housekeeping promptly changed the sheets for us. Breakfast was ok, it seemed like there wasn't enough breakfast during our stay, I'm not sure about any other time. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and would recommend this place, but just be cautious of your rooms and if you choose breakfast included.

A very nice Hampton inn staff very attentive it was nice to be able to get a room early. I was surprised by the parking fee $10 for overnight. The room clean comfortable beds had a great sleep rooms are large. Breakfast the usual standard for Hampton Inn wonderful. The hotel itself is very walkable neighbourhood supermarket restaurants local etc. Would happily go back just for the location.

I've stayed at this hotel a number of times. I was surprised to have a terrible experience at check-in. Crystal at the front desk was not pleasant at all. I never call a specific person out, but the looks she gave me and her attitude were not polite or welcoming. There was an obvious attempt to upcharge me. I was told by her colleague that I would be charged $10 for parking. I was never asked if I had a car. When I said I didn't have car, that my niece dropped me off, Crystal looked at me as if I was lying. I was being honest. But really, why is this place charging to park in an open and unsecured lot?? Then Crystal said I needed to be charged $50 for the puppy I have, and proceeded to take 10 minutes for that transaction, when all I wanted to do was get to my room. The room was already pricey due to the holiday. I don't appreciate feeling that I am being gouged. This is my last time in here!

Easily the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. Right from the start, the hotel is dark, dingy and dirty. I was there attending a funeral and wake and spent 1 evening there. Our room keys didn’t work when we arrived back from the wake service that night and I got maybe a total of 2 hours sleep between the excessive banging noise, the power going out (which was due to a storm so that’s not the hotels fault) and then the random fire alarm at 8am. The next morning (the day of the funeral and check out day) we go downstairs for “breakfast” in a dirty cafeteria style lounge. I grab a yogurt because everything else looked filthy and it was completely warm even though it was “sitting on ice”. I go to get orange juice and the whole machine is out of order. I then decide to just leave because I’m having a horrible weekend in a awful hotel and on my way out I mention to the front desk that my stay was terrible. They start contributing it all to the storm. Not wanting to argue and rushing out to attend the funeral, I left. I reached out to Expedia about all of this and they reached out to the hotel. I was told to wait 72 hours - no response. I reached out again and was told AGAIN no one from the hotel would answer and I was told to wait another 72 hours. No response again so I reach out Again and I get a message back that they spoke to the hotel and they’re denying the refund request because “I didn’t say something during my stay.” Which I did. I didn’t get up out of my hotel room in my pajamas to go argue with the front desk staff because who in their right mind would do that in the middle of the night. But I spoke up when I left and apparently that wasn’t good enough. Do yourself a favor and spend the extra money to go to an actual nice hotel. And a hotel that doesn’t give you a hard time about your horrible stay.

I recently stayed in the Garden City hotel. I drive 8 hours once a month from Virginia to NY to see my doctor. This was an extremely stressful visit but ended up with good medical results. The staff was incredible. The room was clean and pretty and dog friendly. Breakfast delicious and included. I want to say a special thank you to Raoul who I believe is a manager. I was in tears in the hall waiting for results and it was check out time. In two seconds he made a call and arranged for later check out since I couldn't leave NY without knowing results. He was so kind and empathetic. He went above and beyond. The staff at the front desk and girls who cleaned my roomwent out of their way to make everything easy. So friendly and professional. I highly recommend this hotel. It's also in a great location. A++++. Thank you, highly recommend!!!!!!!

Went on a business trip Location was ok just because had stores and restaurants near by , clean rooms, quality amenities. The staff was kind we enjoyed our stay. The building and the room looked really neat and well designed inside. The breakfast did surprise me on how delicious it was. But guest please be Mindful when you sneeze or cough around the food .. geez
